road trip

We went to Prairie Village near Madison, South Dakota last weekend to a steam threshing jamboree. I wanted to see all the old tractors and steam engines. (Been trying to get a picture on the blog for a week with no luck yet). It was like Pioneer Village but everything was operating and more spread out. When they fired all those tractors up for the review parade we could hardly hear without shouting to each other. Really was neat to see the old steam powered tractors and equipment running. They had a nice flea market also, we picked up a few items. I hope we can find another jamboree closer. We stopped by the ranch on the way back to see if any grass was left, it was better than we thought it would be.
