Hello from Tennessee

I have been quite busy so I did a little catch up reading tonight on the blog. It is funny how something in my life so far away can relate to what is going on with you guys. As I read the blog about haircolor it made me think. Man am I in trouble! I recently went to a new girl to have my hair colored and I walked out looking like Elvira. She colored my hair so dark that my friends at work did not even recognize me. So of course the next week I go and have lighter highlights put in it. So I guess I am doomed!

As for the other part, anyone know how to care for a sisal rug? I was brushing Jordyns hair yesterday and my old cat walked up to us and meowed really loud.......and then she projectiled vomited right in front of us on my rug. It was a very disgusting sight to see!

Jordyns birthday is on Sunday and we are partying all weekend. She had a small party at school today and we go to Chuck E Cheese tomorrow (Pray for me! I hate that place) and then we are having a family get together on Sunday. She is going to partied out by the end of the weekend.

Grandma Great....Jordyn got your present today and she loves it. She is really into writing things now so the pencils and stationary set was great! Thank you for thinking of her on her birthday.

Does anyone know a method (read easy) for cleaning deposits out of the inside of an aluminum pot (canteen) that would leave it safe to drink from? I found an 80 year old canteen to use when I go to cowboy shoots but it needs to be cleaned out.

On the road again...

Our 4th weekend was busy - we were at my parent's Saturday night to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had a really nice fireworks display and BBQ with all my sisters. We were also in Kearney for a brief time on Saturday morning to help Les and Kyle move into a house - in fact, they are now your neighbors, just a few blocks west from Paula and Ed on East 31st street. We told her where you live so she could say she knows some of the neighbors. Clay stayed and went to JT Peterson's wedding with Matt and Andrea Mack, and I went to Hastings with my family to help Lisa and Tim move into their new house. Then we all met back at the farm for the BBQ. Very busy day.
Clay and I went home on Monday and spent the day together for our 3rd anniversary. We went to KC for dinner at a great seafood restaurant, and stopped at a town outside of Manhattan for an awesome 35-minute fireworks display. Can't believe that it has been 3 years already.
We are back on the road again this weekend for a wedding in Wahoo. I am a bridesmaid in this wedding - a good friend from undergrad. It should be a great time to see old friends again. Also an adventure because we are taking Hattie with and she is going to stay in the hotel with our friend's dog, Gunner. It will be interesting!!
There may be a weekend where we stay home....probably when school starts again :)
